What is a PhotoArt Canvas?
A PhotoArt Canvas from Quincy PhotoArt is more than just a reproduced photo. Your photo is scanned, color-enhanced, and then artistically rendered digitally by one of our expert artists using a unique process developed and used just by us. The process allows us to mimic the Impressionist style similar to Monet, Renoir, or Van Gogh, and apply it to any image. Your photo is retouched by professionals, and enlarged to your specifications. Then it is printed on premium artist’s canvas and stretch mounted onto a wooden frame in a Gallery Wrap style. This enables you to display it simply by hanging it on a wall. There is no need for additional mounting. It can be displayed as you would see an artist’s canvas hanging in a gallery.

How much does a PhotoArt Canvas cost?
Our standard pricing is as follows:

16 x 20 - $129.00
18 x 24 - $139.00
20 x 24 - $149.00

Prices exclude tax and shipping.

What do I get?
First, you receive our Order Kit, which includes a pre-paid return envelope, complete instructions for choosing and cropping your photo, tips for choosing a workable photo, gift ideas and hanging tips. After you send us your photo and we have produced your final product, you receive your PhotoArt Canvas protectively packaged and shipped by UPS Ground within four weeks.

How big of a print should I furnish?
Your print can be as small as 2 x 3 inches and no bigger than 5 x 7 inches. Remember the size of the subject in the photo makes a difference. The smaller the subject, the less detail will show on your final artwork. This can lead to some interesting artistic effects also, but you will lose detail in people’s faces and they may become unrecognizable.

Can I send you an inkjet print from my printer at home?
YES, provided the quality looks close to a normal photographic print.

Can I email you my picture?
Arrangements may be made to email certain photos.
Please call (217) 222-7485 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm CST, for instructions.

Should I send you my original photo? Will I get my photo back?
NO, do not send your original. While we strive to return every photo back to you with your final product, we cannot be liable for lost photos. Please make a copy of your photo at your local photo finishing store, i.e. Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. Copies can usually be made for under $1 in less than an hour. Send us the COPY. Our process works equally well with copies as originals.

Can I send you photos from a professional photographer?
Only if you have received permission in writing from the photographer to reproduce the image. Copyrights to photos taken by professionals are held by the photographer or publisher, however many will release the rights to you, sometimes for a fee. You must agree to indemnify (hold as harmless) Quincy PhotoArt and Quincy Display Graphics from any and all liability for reproducing your image.

How do I know if I hold the copyright to my photo?
Usually if you have the negative in your possession, then you have the copyright. You must be able to reasonably prove that a digital photo was taken with your own equipment. Date/Time stamp, etc. This is usually not an issue if you have taken the photo yourself.

How can I order more than one PhotoArt Canvas at a time?
On the Order Form, simply add another photo to your Shopping Cart (if you have more than one) and the number of copies as a quantity next to each item.

Do you offer framing?
Not at this time. Due to the extremely wide variety of frame styles available and high shipping costs, it is usually advisable for you to obtain your frame locally.

How do I frame my PhotoArt Canvas after I receive it?
The “gallery wrap” PhotoArt Canvas can be inserted into any standard inch frame. No glass is needed, and in fact glass would make viewing your PhotoArt Canvas slightly more difficult. Clips can be purchased at your local frame shop to hold the stretched canvas inside the frame. The PhotoArt Canvas will protrude slightly from the back of the frame which is natural for this type of installation. Consult your local frame shop for the appropriate hanging hardware.
